NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices ruled higher at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday due to the low-level buying from pharmaceutical and consuming industries.

According to traders, the overall sentiment is weak amid expectation of higher acreage this season and on demand concerns from China.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,305/kg, Rs 1,330/kg and Rs 1,300/kg, respectively.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil contract for delivery in March ended higher by Rs 10.70 or 0.90 percent at Rs 1,194 per kg.
