NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Sugar mills can sell 18 lakh tonnes of the sweetener in the open market in April, according to the government notification.

The central government has allocated sugar quota for sale to each of the 545 mills in the country.

The government had fixed monthly sugar sale quota at 21 lakh tonnes for March. The quota was same in the year-ago period.
