Red Chilli Prices Steady in Guntur

MUMBAI (commodities Control) - Red chilli prices stabilised after collapsing in Guntur chilli mandi in the previous session.

Guntur registered arrivals of 25,000 bags and 334/S4 was quoted at Rs 75-95 and Teja Was priced at Rs 115-135/kg. Byadgi was quoted at Rs 110-130. Meanwhile S 10 was priced at Rs 80-100/kg. Traders attribute the weak export demand due to poor quality of supplies from warehouses. North Indian demand is dull amid rising cases of corona virus. Only spice manufacturers are active in the markets.
