Turmeric: Futures Fall, Spot Prices Steady

Mumbai (commodities control) - Turmeric trade in spot markets was reported to be dull amid rising cases of corona virus.

Nizamabad mandi registered arrivals of 10,000 bags, while Gatta was quoted at Rs 5400 per quintal and finger variety dropped Rs 100 to be priced at Rs 5600-5700 per quintal. Meanwhile Futures prices slipped Rs 28 to settle at Rs 5650/quintal. Erode mandi reported arrivals of 2,000 bags while the yellow spice was reported to be steady. Traders reveal that trade has nearly come to a halt amid rising cases of Corona virus.
