Cotton Prices Steady-to-Weak in South Indian Markets

Mumbai (commodities control) - Cotton Prices were steady-to-weak amid dull trading session reported in South Indian markets.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reported arrivals of 1600 bales. Meanwhile Karnataka registered arrivals of 1000 bales. 30-31 mm cotton in Adilabad and Guntur were quoted at Rs 34,300-36,000 and 29MM variety was priced at Rs 33,300-34,000/candy. 29 mm in Adoni and Bhainsa was quoted at Rs 33,000-33,500 and 29.5+MM was priced steady at Rs 34,000-34,500/candy. Meanwhile in Warangal, 29MM cotton was quoted at Rs 33,000-34,500 and 29.5- 30MM was priced at Rs 33,700-34,600/candy, down Rs 200. Cottonseed prices were quoted at Rs 2000-2400 per quintal. It is to be noted that Warangal mandi will be closed for ten days due to a case of Corona virus being detected in the market. 30 mm cotton in Karnataka was priced at Rs 35,200-35,300 and 29MM was quoted at Rs 34,600-34,800/candy. While DCH traded in the range of Rs 54,000-55,500/candy. CCI quoted 27-30 mm cotton in Adilabad at Rs 34,700-36,500 and 28-30 mm in Warangal was priced at Rs 35,600-36,500 per candy. 28-30 mm cotton in Hubli was quoted at Rs 35,200-36,500 per candy.
