Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Domestic Tur traded mixed, as per quality, on Friday in major markets of Maharashtra amid limited mills buying activity.

On other hand, commodity declined by Rs 50-200/100Kg at Tamil Nadu, Chattisgarh and Gujarat on slack millers trade activity.

Demand and sale counter in processed Tur is still thin from consumption centers despite higher vegetables prices.

However, there were indications in spot market that some demand from millers is emerging, for crushing at lower prices.

Sentiments dampened as Government extended validity of licence for Tur import of 4 Lakh MTs from November 15, 2020, till December 31 this year. This will raise the supplies of Tur from overseas markets.

As per market sources, Nafed had rejected bids of kharif 2019 Tur of lower rates.

In Mumbai, Tur lemon variety of new Burma-origin ruled weak by Rs 150 to Rs 6,600/100Kg in ready delivery. On the other hand, in forward business, commodity pared early gains by Rs 50 to Rs 6,250 for November delivery.

As per market talk, fluctuation of Tur prices depends on Government agency's approval of Tur tender bids in the coming days.

Meanwhile, regular supply from Mozambique and Sudan Tur was reported.
