NEW DELHI (Commodities control) Guar seed and gum prices recovered today in spot market of Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarat as it followed future market where guar complex took positive tone after fresh buying at attractive prices. Guar gum prices gained Rs. 100 per quintal and guar seed rose Rs. 25-72 per quintal in spot markets. Guar seed auction prices also gained in various mandis of Rajasthan and other producing states. According to market estimate, around 15.49 lakh quintal guar seed arrived till now against arrival of 20.46 lakh quintal till 30 November 2019.
According to trade estimates, the arrival was 27 lakh quintal till November 2018. The data shows lower arrival means lower crop this year. However, guar seed and gum prices witness consecutive price fall in last couple of days. Lower prices have given buying opportunity for investors and hedgers. Fresh buying pushed up guar seed contracts up to 1.44 percent and guar gum contracts up to 1.94 percent in NCDEX.
