Edible Oils Edge Higher in MP Mandis on Strong Marriage Demand, Global Cues

Indore Commodities Control: Despite cut in import duty on palm oil, majority of oils in Indore and other mandis in Madhya Pradesh traded higher on strong global cues, rise in futures and strong marriage demand.

Soy refined today was quoted at Rs 1065-70 for 10 kg, while soy solvent ruled at Rs 1015-20. Palm oil (Indore) also ruled higher at Rs 1025, while groundnut oil (Indore) was quoted at Rs 1420-40.

Amidst declining arrivals, with farmers getting busy in the ongoing marriage season and weak availability of soy seeds with the crushers, soy oil plant rates were quoted higher with soy refined Prakash, Ruchi, Bajrang, Avi Ujjain, Mahakali and MS Solvex Neemuch today rose to 1070 for 10 kg each, soy refined Vippy today was quoted at Rs 1074, Neemuch Dhamuka - 1073, Kalapipal Ambika - 1065, Amrit Mandsaur - 1062 while soy refined MS Pachore was quoted at Rs 1066 for 10 kg respectively.

Soybean's plant rates also inched up on weak availability with soybean Prestige plate rate today being quoted at Rs 4375, Kriti - Rs 4375, Prakash - Rs 4370, Khandwa = Rs 4350, Rama - Rs 4150, Maloo - Rs 4370, while soybean's ex-mill plant rate today was quoted at Rs 4300 a quintal respectively.

Amidst arrival of 5500 bags, soybean in Indore mandis today ruled at Rs 4000-Rs 4300. In Dewas mandi soyabean ruled at Rs 4000-Rs 4300, Itarsi - Rs 3500-Rs 4200, Pipriya - Rs 3800-Rs 4000. Agar - Rs 4200-Rs 4350, while in Neemuch mandi soybean (best quality) today ruled at Rs 4140-Rs 4370 a quintal respectively.
