Mentha oil prices gain at spot, futures fall

New Delhi, 28 July (Commoditiescontrol) Mentha oil prices gained in the physical markets on Wednesday due to sluggish supply but futures ended lower due to selling pressure said the traders.

As per the traders, due to weak production of mentha oil stocks are expected to remain low.

Mentha oil prices gained Rs 8 to Rs. 1,038 per Lg at Rampur and prices were quoted Rs 9 higher at Rs 1,025 per Kg at Sambhal. Prices of the commodity were also Rs 5 higher at Rs 1,050 per Kg at Barabanki.

August contract of mentha oil held Rs 5 or 0.52 percent lower at Rs 960/ Kg on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today after trading between Rs 956.50 and Rs 971.80 per Kg.
