New-old Moong prevails mixed price trend at selective mkt

Mumbai, 23 Sep (Commoditiescontrol) – New Kharif Moong traded weak, as per quality, at Gulbarga, Yadgiri, Tandur, Jalgaon, Rajkot, Veraval and Kishangarh markets on thin buying activity, ongoing arrivals and dull offtake in processed Moong.

On other hand, commodity moved higher, as per quality at Bagalkot, Gadag, Barshi, Latur, Khategaon, Jaipur and Kekri market due to mills purchase on immediate requirement for crushing.

In Maharashtra-Karnataka, arrivals of dagi quality was reported and moisture contain higher. No arrivals pressure of new Moong witnessed in major producing centers.

Local stockiest and millers along with outstation millers from Punjab, Haryana, Jaipur, Maharashtra and Mumbai were active in purchasing new Moong from Karnataka.

Madhya Pradesh origin Moong gained by Rs 50 to Rs 6,950-7,250/100Kg as per quality, at Naya bazaar pulses market of Delhi.

Old variety Moong remained weak at Harda and Indore market on slack mills buying activites.

Overall, improved arrivals of new kharif Moong in producing centers, regular arrivals of summer crop Moong and overseas supplies will pressurise sentiments.
