JAIPUR, Oct 26 (Commoditiescontrol) - Coriander's bullish trend failed to sustain and turned bearish after a day on Tuesday due to reduced interest of South Indian buyers in the mandis of Rajasthan, with prices fell by Rs 100 in Ramganj mandi. The demand from the buyers, which came out on Monday, turned weak today. With the fall in prices, arrivals were also lower. Coriander prices remained sluggish in Kota, Jaipur and Baran also. Local demand was also subdued in the mandis of Rajasthan.

However, coriander prices increased in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as compared to Rajasthan. In Guna mandi, there was a jump of Rs 50 per quintal in Coriander Badami and Scooter. In Gondal mandi also, coriander eagle and scooter saw a rise of Rs 50 per quintal. Upper grade coriander prices also showed a jump due to fresh demand. There was a jump of Rs 70 per quintal in coriander cold storage today. Moisture in coriander also remained in the range of 7 to 10 percent.

Today 70 thousand bags of coriander arrived in the mandis across the country as against 75 thousand bags on Monday. The arrival of coriander in the spice markets of Rajasthan stood at 18,500 bags. A total 23,500 bags arrived in the mandis of Gujarat and 26,000 bags in the mandis of Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan's Ramganj mandi 3,000 bags, Baran 1500 bags, Kota 700 bags and Jaipur 1200 bags of coriander arrived. In a bag of coriander, the weight remained up to 40 kg.
