Jodhpur, January 21 (Commoditiescontrol) Guar seed and gum prices extended their fall on Friday amid weak sentiment as most of the stockiest and processors preferred to stay away, said an analyst.
Guar seed prices were at Rs 5400-6150 per quintal in auction in the major markets of Rajasthan while it was priced Rs 6050 per quintal in all paid. Guar gum prices were quoted at Rs 11700 per quintal. Guar seed prices were down by Rs 50-150 while guar gum prices were quoted Rs 300 per quintal lower. Arrivals of guar seed across the country were around 18000 bags against 20000 bags previous day.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for delivery in February ended Rs 295 or 2.44% down at Rs 11,771 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 11,584 and Rs 12,175 respectively.
Guar seed futures for delivery in February ended Rs 110 or 1.72% down at Rs 6,299 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 6,163 and Rs 6,409 respectively on the NCDEX.
