Guntur, 27 January (CommoditiesControl) Red Chilli prices were steady to firm on Thursday amid increased fresh arrivals.
Red chili prices gained Rs 3 to 5 per kilo at the spot market of Guntur.
Prices of mostly deluxe varieties increased demand, the other qualities were steady due to poor demand. The quality still remains an issue at Guntur market. The fatki quality still consists of 30 to 40 % of total arrivals.
DD, 341 and Syngenta were bought mostly by Powder houses.
At Warangal, Teja lost Rs 12 per kilo as deluxe qualities were absent, While Whot gained Rs 15 as deluxe quality were available.
Guntur market had 80000 bags of fresh arrivals.
Warangal which reopened after remaining closed for straight 2 days, had 25000 bags of arrivals
