Mumbai, June 13 (Commoditiescontrol) Monsoon is likely to enter Bihar from Kishanganj and Purnia in Seemanchal area by June 15. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is likely to spread across Bihar by June 20. At present, the monsoon has stopped in Siliguri and Jalpaiguri of West Bengal for about a week, but favorable conditions have started forming for its further progress. Monsoon will further knock in Uttar Pradesh (Monsoon in UP) by June 17.
An area of low air pressure is forming in Seemanchal area of Bihar, which will be fully formed by June 14. Due to its effect, the monsoon stopped in Siliguri and Jalpaiguri of West Bengal is forecast to reach by June 15.
The monsoon will enter Bihar via Kishanganj or Purnia in Seemanchal by June 15 and the entire state in the next two days. will spread in Monsoon rains will start till June 17 in Bhagalpur. It will move fast, a weather scientist said.
"Conditions are favourable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of north Arabian sea, remaining parts of Konkan, some parts of Gujarat, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra, entire Karnataka and Tamilnadu, some parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh in next 24 hours,’’ said IMD in its latest forecast.
