Guar seed, gum prices down as rains raise prospect of good crops

Mumbai, June 27 (Commoditiescontrol) Guar seed and guar gum prices were down on Monday as rains received in the major growing belts have raised the prospects of good crop as the land has now good moisture which will intensify sowing.

Guar seed prices were quoted at Rs 4800 per quintal in auction while it was offered at Rs 5150 per quintal in all paid. Guar gum prices were quoted at Rs 9800 per quintal.

Guar seed prices were down by Rs 100 per quintal in the physical markets while guar gum prices declined Rs 300 per quintal.

Guar gum futures for delivery in July on the NCDEX ended Rs 173 or 1.75% down at Rs 9699 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 9502 and Rs 9945 respectively.

Guar seed futures for delivery in July on NCDEX ended Rs 79 or 1.49% down at Rs 5224 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 5160 and Rs 5324 respectively.
