Mumbai, 28 Jun (Commoditiescontrol): Chana ot chickpea traded marginally higher, as per quality, at major local markets on limited mills purchase that reflects thin offtake of dal-besan.
However, there are hopes of revival in demand for besan with the onset of monsoon season.
Most markets were closed due to Amavasya or (no moon day). Domestic arrivals pressure remained less as farmers are busy with Kharif sowing.
Traders see limited downside from the current price unless the government decides to dispose of its stock at low prices.
