Jodhpur, September 23 (Commoditiescontrol) Guar seed and gum prices dropped in the physical markets and futures as well amid selling pressure. As arrivals of fresh crop have begun, the stockiest are liquidating their old crops.
Guar seed prices fell Rs 150 per quintal while guar gum prices dropped Rs 300 per quintal.
Guar seed prices were quoted at Rs 5100 per quintal in all paid. Old crop was quoted at Rs 4500-4900 per quintal in auction while new crop was offered at Rs 4100-4800 per quintal. Arrivals of old crop were 3100 bags while new crop around 1500 bags.
Guar gum prices were quoted at Rs 10000 per quintal in the market of Jodhpur.
Guar gum futures for delivery in October on the NCDEX ended Rs 289 or 2.81 % down at Rs 9998 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 9820 and Rs 10327 respectively.
Guar seed futures for delivery in October ended Rs 106 or 2.03 lower at Rs 5109 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 5221 and Rs 5017 respectively.
