Jodhpur, October 7 (Commoditiescontrol) Guar seed and gum prices fell sharply in the physical markets and futures as well on Friday due to increasing arrivals.
Guar seed prices dropped Rs 120 per quintal in the physical market while gum prices declined Rs 250 per quintal today.
Guar seed prices were quoted at Rs 4750 per quintal in all paid.
Guar gum prices were quoted at Rs 9250 per quintal in the market of Jodhpur.
Old guar seed was auctioned at Rs 4400-4750 per quintal while new crop was offered at Rs 4200-4700 per quintal.
Arrivals of fresh crop were 21000 bags and old crop around 3000 bags.
Guar gum futures for delivery in October on the NCDEX ended Rs 182 or 1.95 % down at Rs 9154 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 9110 and Rs 9385 respectively.
Guar seed futures for delivery in October ended Rs 102 or 2.10 % lower at Rs 4744 per quintal while low and high of the session were Rs 4729 and Rs 4854 respectively.
