NEW DELHI, Dec 1 (Commoditiescontrol) - India’s home textile market at Panipat found much needed support from the ongoing marriage season. The prices of recycled yarn remained stable but traders expect improvement in case of better buying. But cotton comber further gained and the prices reached at ₹150 per kg. Recycled polyester fibre noted opposite trend. Cotton yarn at Ludhiana also noted weakness in cotton yarn.

Ludhiana market’s cotton yarn prices slipped ₹5 per kg as mills and traders forced to offer lower prices. A trader from Ludhiana market said that textile value chain is still facing unease of costlier cotton and poor demand. Cotton prices further gained. But yarn is not likely to go up as demand from downstream remained weak. 30 count cotton combed yarn was sold at ₹285-295 per kg (GST inclusive) as per TexPro. 20 and 25 count combed yarn were traded at ₹275-285 per kg and ₹280-290 per kg respectively. Carded yarn of 30 count steadied at ₹260-270 per kg.

In Delhi, yarn prices remained bearish as demand remained weak. Demand of cotton yarn from domestic and export market remained very slow. It made more difficult for stockists and spinners to find buyers. A trader from Delhi market told that yarn market yet to get support for. Textile industry across the world is facing slower buying from end consumers.
