Mumbai, 28 Jan (Commoditiescontrol): Prices of Burma origin Tur extend gains at Mumbai pulses market amid increased mill buying activity. While, Canada-Australia Masoor remained weak due to slack mills trade.
Burma origin Lemon variety Tur old gained by Rs 75 at Rs 6,900/100Kg on increased in need based mills buying due to some action in Tur dal, following firm cues from domestic market despite supply of new Burma Tur crop and ongoing arrival of the domestic Tur crop as well.
Burma Urad FAQ variety fimr by Rs 25 at Rs 6,625/100Kg following firm Myanmar CNF quotes, need based buying despite abundance of cheaper overseas supplies and thin offtake in processed Urad.
Canada crimson variety Masoor at Mumbai, Mundra-Hajira port along with Australia Masoor at Mumbai slipped down by Rs 50-100/100Kg on thin mills trade amid thin offtake in processed Masoor, cheaper overseas supply, Nafed active for sale of imported Masoor, higher global production estimates and increased domestic sowing acreage.
CNF quotes for Masoor of Canada-Australia origin also remain subdued, exerting pressure on sentiments.
