Mumbai, Feb 3 (Commoditiescontrol): Jeera prices extend gain by Rs 100-150/20Kg at Rajkot and Unjha market, as per quality on Friday amid increased in need based buying & tracking firm cues from futures.
At Rajkot, new Jeera traded at Rs 5,700-6,500/20Kg, as per quality with arrivals of 80-100 bags (Each bag of 60 Kg) with moisture contain quality.
Today, new Jeera traded at Rs 5,800-6,000/20Kg with average quality arrivals of 5-7 bags at Rajkot.
Regular old jeera arrivals of 2000 bags from surrounding areas at Unjha were witnessed. As per the market report, about 8000-9000 bags were on sale in the local market.
Similarly, commodity traded moved higher by Rs 100/20Kg, as per quality at the Rajkot market on local buying amid steady arrivals of 300 bags.
Singapore quality for export was priced higher by Rs 250 at Rs 6,700/20Kg within 15 days Kandla-Mundra delivery and Rs 6,900/20kg for whole April.
Jeera stock at the NCDEX accredited warehouses as on February 2 was reported at 1,347 MT at Unjha center, down from 1,537 MT in the previous day, as per exchange data.
Jeera contract for March delivery settled at Rs 34185/quintal showing an rise of Rs 1200 over previous close of Rs 32985/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 33000-34645 for the day. Open interest increased by 135 MT to 4281 MT, while trading volume increased by 1050 to 3045 MT.
Jeera contract for April delivery settled at Rs 34260/quintal showing an rise of Rs 1215 over previous close of Rs 33045/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 33080-34740 for the day. Open interest increased by 15 MT to 1590 MT, while trading volume decreased by 90 to 945 MT.
Jeera contract for May delivery settled at Rs 33900/quintal showing an rise of Rs 795 over previous close of Rs 33105/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 33900-33900 for the day. Open interest increased by 3 MT to 9 MT, while trading volume increased by 3 to 3 MT.
Currently The spread between March and April contract is 75 Rs/quintal.
