MUMBAI, Feb 7 (Commoditiescontrol): Burma Urad moved higher by Rs 25-50/100Kg at select market, such as Chennai-Delhi & Mumbai market on fresh need base mills purchase at lower rates despite abundance of cheaper overseas supplies and thin offtake in processed Urad.
Currency indication remain bearish today. Depreciation in Rupee to 82.7 against USD make imports costlier.
On other hand, Polish & unpolish Urad price weak by Rs 50/100Kg each to trade at Vijaywada market on slack mills trade at higher rates.
Also, Urad gota variety at Guntur down by Rs 50 at Rs 9,300/100Kg due to dull offtake.
At Burma, Urad FAQ-SQ variety priced unchanged each to trade at $810 & $910 per metric ton on CNF basis as local & India buyers inactive. Today, local currency Kyat flat against the U.S. dollar. It stood at 2870 Kyat/dollar similar during the previous closing.
