Mumbai, Feb 7 (Commoditiescontrol): Turmeric prices in major markets remained largely unchanged on Tuesday, as the impact of slow demand was offset by slow arrival.
Today, Duggirala received 300 bags, as it did yesterday, and Nizamabad received 7500 bags. There were fewer bags today than yesterday.
There have been no new arrivals in Kesamudram in the last few days.
The market in Warangal increased by Rs 10 per kg. 150 new bags have arrived. which has been increased by 90 bags.
The nanded market is stable, despite an inflow of 1500 bags. 500 bags fewer than the previous session.
Turmeric contract for April delivery settled at Rs 7262/quintal showing an fall of Rs 38 over previous close of Rs 7300/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7250-7438 for the day. Open interest increased by 65 MT to 13295 MT, while trading volume increased by 1740 to 2895 MT.
Turmeric contract for May delivery settled at Rs 7384/quintal showing an fall of Rs 24 over previous close of Rs 7408/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7350-7514 for the day. Open interest increased by 60 MT to 1420 MT, while trading volume increased by 5 to 195 MT.
Currently The spread between April and May contract is 122 Rs/quintal.
