Mumbai, March 24 (Commoditiescontrol): Turmeric prices increased by Rs 100 per kg at Erode benchmark market, on Friday, due to steady demand although arrivals remained at elevated levels. Today, 9000 bags arrived, a 2500 bag increase over the previous day.
Duggirala witness a stable tone in price. Inflow of 200 sacks was reported, down by 100 sacks from last season.
Arrival at Nizamabad market was 12,000 bags. The market witnessed steady price tone.
Warangal market witnessed arrivals of 75 bags. Finger prices have decreased by Rs.300 per kg due to a quality issue, while Gatha prices have increased by Rs.700 per kg. arrivals are lower than the previous session.
At Kesmudram, Gattha Rs.800 and Finger Rs.700 were quoted per kg upper due to a good inflow. The arrival of goods is 300 bags, which has been increased by 225 bags.
In Maharashtra's Sangli market, the price of Rajapuri turmeric has risen by 250 per kg, and buyers are active. Today, 16226 bags were delivered.
Gattha and Finger varieties are reduced by Rs.200/Rs.700 per kg at Hingoli Market due to a quality issue. However, arrival increased by 3000 bags, bringing the total number of bags arriving to 7000.
Today, 2500 sacks arrived in Nanded market, and Gattha prices remain unchanged from the previous session. The price of finger rose by Rs.200 per kg.
