Mumbai, 6 June (Commoditiescontrol): Price of the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh line Chana trades unchanged at Delhi's Lawrence Road market as the demand for the crushing process from millers and traders remaining limited due to slow offtake in dal-besan.
In early trade Rajasthan and M.P. origin Chana new was traded unchanged each at Rs 5,100/100kg, respectively.
About 15 truckloads of supply arrived in the markets, down from 22 truckloads in the previous session.
However, millers are facing challenges in procuring an adequate supply of Chana due to slowdown in arrivals. Additionally, sellers have been less active in trading Chana at lower rates. Moreover, a considerable portion of the Chana stock is currently held by Nafed, leading to limited availability in the market.
Supply was less from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh as traders facing disparity to trade for Delhi delivery.
Meanwhile, stockiest & bulk buyers refrained from making bulk purchases due to the government holding a substantial quantity.
