Mumbai, June 18 (Commoditiescontrol): Clove prices have remained stable over the past three weeks in the Kottayam market. Import prices have varied slightly, with cloves from the Comoros priced between Rs 880 and 900 per kilogram, those from Madagascar between Rs 900 and 920 per kilogram, and Sri Lankan cloves between Rs 890 and 910 per kilogram.
Domestic clove prices in Kottayam have also remained stable over the last week, ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,020 per kilogram. In Shimoga, the price range for cloves has been consistent from the previous session, at Rs 1,020 to Rs 1,040 per kilogram. The price of clove stems in Kottayam has also remained unchanged at Rs 130 per kilogram.
The stability in clove prices is attributed to balanced market conditions, with neither significant increases in demand nor supply disruptions. As a result, prices have held steady, reflecting a stable market environment for cloves both domestically and for imported varieties.
