Ahmedabad, July 17 (Commodities Control): The price of cumin in Gujarat's spot market saw an improvement of Rs 50 per 20 kg today. The main business activity occurred in Unjha Mandi, with limited arrivals and trade in other mandis due to the Muharram holiday, leading to the closure of many mandis. As a result, the total arrival of cumin in Gujarat was around 7,500 bags.
In Unjha Mandi, approximately 5,000 bags of cumin arrived. The price of rough cumin was Rs 4,500-4,700 per 20 kg, the best quality cumin was priced at Rs 4,900-5,000 per 20 kg, and Bombay Bold cumin was priced at Rs 5,000-5,100 per 20 kg.
Meanwhile, Gondal Mandi was closed for Muharram. In the Rajkot market, around 400 bags arrived, with prices ranging from Rs 4,450 to Rs 5,141 per 20 kg.
