Mumbai, July 19 (CommoditiesControl): Chilli prices showed mixed trends in major markets, with Guntur and Warangal reporting varied movements, while Khammam saw higher prices. According to local traders, end users are buying just enough to meet immediate needs, which is keeping prices stable. Additionally, weak export demand is contributing to lower prices.
Today's arrivals were reported at 72,000 bags, a decrease of 11,000 bags compared to the previous session. Guntur recorded an arrival of 60,000 bags, down by 15,000 bags from the previous session. Meanwhile, Warangal and Khammam both reported an arrival of 56,000 bags each, an increase of 4,000 bags from the previous session.
Prices are expected to remain stable with a slight downward trend in the near term due to the excess supply. However, since prices have already fallen significantly, a sharp decline from current levels is considered unlikely.
