Mumbai, July 19 (CommoditiesControl): Clove prices have maintained stability over the past one and a half months in Kottayam. Prices for different origins are as follows: Sri Lankan cloves range between Rs 900-930 per kg, Madagascar cloves between Rs 910-930 per kg, and Comoros cloves between Rs 890-920 per kg. Domestic cloves in Kottayam are priced between Rs 1,020-1,040 per kg, remaining stable during this period.
In Shimoga, clove prices have also shown stability over the past 18-20 sessions, ranging from Rs 1,040-1,060 per kg. Additionally, the price of clove stems in Kottayam has held steady at Rs 130 per kg for the past month.
Reports suggest that prices are likely to rise in the coming days due to a decline in imports during May, which could tighten the supply.
Overall, clove prices in both Kottayam and Shimoga have remained stable over the past one and a half months, with potential for an increase in the near future due to reduced import volumes.
