Ahmedabad, August 3 (CommoditiesControl): The prices of coriander in Gujarat's market have remained stable, influenced by limited demand amid low arrivals. Traders have indicated that if coriander futures drop below Rs 7100 per quintal, a more pronounced slowdown might occur. There appears to be little potential for significant price movement in coriander in the near future.
Despite the approach of festival days, there is currently no substantial demand for coriander. However, an increase in demand is anticipated during Navratri and a possible market boom before Diwali.
The month of Sawan will commence from Monday, leading to the closure of many mandis in Saurashtra. Market trends are expected to be established based on arrivals on Tuesday.
Today, approximately 6025 bags of coriander arrived in Gujarat, with average prices stabilizing at Rs 1320-1520 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, 4220 bags were traded at Rs 1321-1551 per 20 kg, with arrivals at 3000 bags of coriander (1 bag = 40kg). Gondal Mandi will remain closed on Monday for the first Monday of Sawan. Rajkot Mandi recorded trades at Rs 1190-1510 against the arrival of 1200 bags.
Other mandis reported arrivals as follows: Junagadh Mandi with 925 bags, Jetpur Mandi with 150 bags, Jamjodhpur Mandi with 150 bags, and 600 bags in other mandis.
