Ahmedabad, August 3 (CommoditiesControl): Continuous rain since morning in many areas of North Gujarat, including Unjha—the main center for cumin arrival—has resulted in decreased cumin arrivals today. Prices have remained stable due to the lack of demand relative to the arrival of cumin. Traders noted that global buyers are currently focusing on China, where traders are stockpiling cumin, resulting in reduced exports from China. Local market support is anticipated once cumin export trade resumes. Until then, there is no expected rise in cumin prices.

Today, 4000 bags of cumin arrived in the Unjha market. The price of rough cumin ranged from Rs 4400-4600 per 20 kg, best quality from Rs 4900-5100 per 20 kg, and Bombay bold from Rs 5100-5250 per 20 kg. Around 7000 bags of cumin arrived in Gujarat.

In Gondal Mandi, approximately 318 bags of cumin were traded at Rs 4651-4941. Rajkot Mandi saw around 800 bags arriving, with prices recorded at Rs 4250-4844.
