Ahmedabad, 5 August (CommoditiesControl: On the first Monday of Sawan, almost all the mandis of Saurashtra remained closed, with only the Rajkot mandi operational. The prices of coriander in the spot market remained stable, showing no movement.
Today, Gujarat received approximately 2500 bags of coriander. The average price in the state remained stable, ranging between Rs 1320-1520 per 20 kg.
In the Rajkot mandi, with the arrival of 2000 bags, the prices ranged from Rs 1140 to Rs 1481 per 20 kg. Other mandis collectively saw the arrival of around 1000 bags.
The mandis of Jamjodhpur, Gondal, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Jetpur, and others were closed due to the observance of the first Monday of Sawan.
Dhaniya contract for AUG delivery settled at Rs 7050/quintal showing an fall of Rs -130 over previous close of Rs 7180/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7046-7200 for the day. Open interest decreased by -1980 MT to 16940 MT, while trading volume increased by 1935 to 3310 MT
Dhaniya contract for SEP delivery settled at Rs 7142/quintal showing an fall of Rs -140 over previous close of Rs 7282/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7142-7286 for the day. Open interest increased by 1905 MT to 14835 MT, while trading volume increased by 2425 to 3450 MT.
Currently The spread between AUG and SEP contract is -92 Rs/quintal.
