New Delhi, August 6 (CommoditiesControl): Mentha oil prices experienced a slight increase in both the physical and futures markets on Tuesday amid normal trading activities. In Chandausi market, mentha oil prices decreased by Rs 5 to Rs 1,025-1,027 per kg. Prices remained unchanged at Rs 982 per kg in Barabanki.
In the futures market, the August contract for mentha oil rose by Rs 0.50, or 0.05%, to Rs 1,002.40 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), with an open interest of 797 and a volume of 191.
Conversely, the September contract fell by Rs 0.40, or 0.04%, to Rs 1,016.60 per kg, with an open interest of 193 and a volume of 16.
Mentha Oil contract for AUG delivery settled at Rs 1002.4/quintal showing an rise of Rs 1 over previous close of Rs 1001.4/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 996.4-1007 for the day. Open interest was simillar by 0 MT to 797 MT, while trading volume decreased by -235 to 191 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for SEP delivery settled at Rs 1016.6/quintal showing an fall of Rs -5.5 over previous close of Rs 1022.1/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 1013.5-1020.8 for the day. Open interest increased by 6 MT to 193 MT, while trading volume decreased by -12 to 16 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for OCT delivery settled at Rs 1030/quintal showing an rise of Rs 3.4 over previous close of Rs 1026.6/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 1025.1-1030 for the day. Open interest increased by 4 MT to 11 MT, while trading volume increased by 6 to 6 MT.
