Jodhpur, September 12 (Commoditiescontrol): Guar seed and gum prices saw a significant increase on Thursday due to heightened demand and improved market activity. Both buying interest and arrivals have strengthened, driving up prices>
Market sources indicate that the average auction price for guar seed ranged between Rs 4,800 and Rs 5,100 per quintal. In Jodhpur's market, guar seed prices remained steady at Rs 5,300 per quintal, while guar gum prices were stable at Rs 10,500 per quintal. Arrivals rose to 6,800 bags, an increase of 400 bags from the previous session.
On the NCDEX, guar gum futures for October delivery climbed by Rs 106 to Rs 10,617 per quintal, with session lows and highs at Rs 10,525 and Rs 10,690, respectively. For September delivery, guar gum futures were up Rs 115 to Rs 10,477 per quintal, with session lows and highs at Rs 10,401 and Rs 10,562.
In the guar seed futures market, the October contract increased by Rs 59 to Rs 5,411 per quintal, with session lows and highs at Rs 5,357 and Rs 5,429. The September contract saw a rise of Rs 66, closing at Rs 5,327 per quintal, with session lows and highs of Rs 5,264 and Rs 5,340, respectively.

GuarSeed contract for OCT delivery settled at Rs 5411/quintal showing an rise of Rs 59 over previous close of Rs 5352/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 5357-5429 for the day. Open interest increased by 255 MT to 44675 MT, while trading volume increased by 2590 to 17410 MT.
Currently The spread between SEP and OCT contract is -84 Rs/quintal.
