New Delhi, September 13 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices fell in physical markets on Friday due to a drop in demand at higher levels. While the current month's future contract held steady, the contract for the following month experienced a slight decline.
In Chandausi, mentha oil prices decreased by Rs 4, trading between Rs 1,008 and Rs 1,010 per kilogram. In Barabanki, prices were down by Rs 3, settling at Rs 965 per kilogram.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the September delivery future contract saw an increase of Rs 1.8, reaching Rs 957.50 per kilogram, with an open interest of 598 and a volume of 57. Conversely, the October delivery future contract fell by Rs 2.90, trading at Rs 967.60 per kilogram, with an open interest of 283 and a volume of 24.
Mentha Oil contract for SEP delivery settled at Rs 957.5/quintal showing an rise of Rs 1.8 over previous close of Rs 955.7/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 950.6-957.5 for the day. Open interest decreased by -4 MT to 598 MT, while trading volume decreased by -34 to 57 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for OCT delivery settled at Rs 967.6/quintal showing an fall of Rs -2.9 over previous close of Rs 970.5/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 966.8-971.6 for the day. Open interest decreased by -2 MT to 283 MT, while trading volume increased by 10 to 24 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for NOV delivery settled at Rs 980/quintal showing an was simillar of Rs 0 over previous close of Rs 980/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 980-980 for the day. Open interest increased by 12 MT to 49 MT, while trading volume increased by 13 to 14 MT.
