Ahmedabad, September 14 (CommoditiesControl): Coriander prices in Gujarat have seen an increase of Rs 10-15 per 20 kg today, influenced by sustained demand from South India and a recent uptick in the futures market.
The current stock of coriander in the country is estimated at 80-90 lakh bags, but the pace of its distribution remains slow. A rise in export trade could potentially drive prices even higher in the coming days, although the market is currently displaying a mixed trend.
In Gujarat, around 9,550 bags of coriander were reported to have arrived today. The average price for coriander in the state ranges between Rs 1,280 and Rs 1,450 per 20 kg.
In specific markets, coriander prices varied: in Gondal Mandi, 5,870 bags were traded at Rs 1,341-1,611 per 20 kg; in Rajkot Mandi, 2,000 bags were traded at Rs 1,200-1,460 per 20 kg.
Additionally, 1,200 bags arrived in Junagadh Mandi, 200 bags in Jetpur Mandi, and 270 bags in Jamjodhpur Mandi, with another 700 bags arriving around the same time.
