Ahmedabad, September 14 (CommoditiesControl): Cumin prices in Gujarat's spot market have decreased by Rs 100 over the last two days, with a further decline of Rs 50 per 20 kg recorded today. This drop is attributed to a surge in cumin arrivals coupled with limited demand.
Today, Unjha Mandi reported the highest cumin arrivals in the country, with 12,000 bags, half of which came from Rajasthan. This high influx has pressured prices, leading to a notable decrease. The prices in Unjha Mandi were Rs 4,300-4,400 per 20 kg for rough cumin, Rs 4,550-4,650 per 20 kg for best quality cumin, and Rs 4,650-4,700 per 20 kg for Bombay Bold cumin.
Additionally, Rajkot Mandi saw 2,000 bags of cumin arriving, with prices ranging from Rs 4,350 to Rs 4,765 per 20 kg. In Gondal Mandi, the price was Rs 4,561-4,761 per 20 kg, with an arrival of 1,554 bags.
