Robust Indian Demand Fuels Surge in Malaysian Palm Oil Exports for Early September

Mumbai, 16 Sep (Commoditiescontrol): Malaysian palm oil exports have shown a significant increase in the first half of September, according to the latest data from cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services. From September 1-15, the exports stood at 695,136 metric tons, a rise of 9.1% from the 637,466 metric tons shipped during the initial half of August.

A detailed breakdown reveals notable shifts in export dynamics to key global markets:

European Union saw an increase from 136,094 metric tons in August to 140,416 metric tons in September.

China registered a rise from 57,000 metric tons to 67,890 metric tons.

India and its subcontinent experienced a significant jump, with exports surging from 85,932 metric tons in August to 149,220 metric tons in September indicating robust buying ahead of expectation of increase in import duty in India
