Ahmedabad, September 21 (CommoditiesControl): The coriander market in Gujarat is experiencing a significant uptick today, driven by robust local demand and increased purchases from southern markets. Prices surged by Rs 15-20 per 20 kg in the spot market, reflecting the bullish sentiment among traders.
With approximately 11,000 bags of coriander arriving across various mandis in Gujarat, the average market price remains stable at Rs 1325-1500 per 20 kg. The trading activity today was notably vibrant, particularly in Gondal Mandi, where 7,000 bags were recorded, leading to price transactions between Rs 1351 and Rs 1571 per 20 kg.
In Rajkot, prices ranged from Rs 1100 to Rs 1432 against an arrival of 450 bags, while other markets also reported steady arrivals: Junagadh saw 1,650 bags, Jetpur had 500 bags, Jamjodhpur recorded 650 bags, and various others accounted for approximately 800 bags.
Market analysts suggest that the continuing trend will heavily depend on the arrivals scheduled for Monday. As demand persists, stakeholders remain optimistic about potential price fluctuations in the coming days.
