Ahmedabad, October (CommoditiesControl): The cumin market in Gujarat experienced an increase of Rs 50 today, primarily due to increased local demand. Traders suggest that if export activities pick up in the coming days, the market may see further bullish momentum.
In the Unjha market, around 12,000 bags were received today. The pricing for rough cumin ranged from Rs 4550 to Rs 4650 per 20 kg, while the best quality cumin fetched between Rs 4850 and Rs 5000 per 20 kg. The premium Bombay Bold variety was priced between Rs 5000 and Rs 5300 per 20 kg.
Gondal market saw the arrival of 1,326 bags, with prices ranging from Rs 4651 to Rs 5001 per 20 kg. In Rajkot, about 1,500 bags were received, trading at Rs 4450 to Rs 4850.
Jeeraunjha contract for OCT delivery settled at Rs 26670/quintal showing an rise of Rs 335 over previous close of Rs 26335/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 26315-26670 for the day. Open interest decreased by -327 MT to 1185 MT, while trading volume increased by 468 to 1206 MT
Jeeraunjha contract for NOV delivery settled at Rs 26110/quintal showing an rise of Rs 300 over previous close of Rs 25810/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 25770-26140 for the day. Open interest increased by 57 MT to 1944 MT, while trading volume increased by 720 to 1323 MT.
Jeeraunjha contract for DEC delivery settled at Rs 25800/quintal showing an rise of Rs 200 over previous close of Rs 25600/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 25700-25800 for the day. Open interest increased by 78 MT to 165 MT, while trading volume increased by 54 to 87 MT.
