Mumbai, 08 Oct 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) has announced modifications in the contract specifications for Coriander (Dhaniya) Futures contracts, with changes set to take effect from November 1, 2024. The revised specifications will apply to contracts expiring from April 2025 onwards, while contracts expiring in October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, and January 2025 will remain under the existing terms.
Key modifications include adjustments to the delivery center specifications. Previously, both Kota and Ramgunjmandi were designated as delivery centers with a premium of ₹300 per quintal for Ramgunjmandi deliveries. Under the new rules, only Kota will serve as the delivery center, with no additional premium applied, aligning the contract with current market dynamics.
These updates come in response to feedback from market participants and aim to streamline contract operations to reflect prevailing market conditions. NCDEX has urged members and participants to review the new contract terms, available on its website under the "Products" tab.
Members are reminded to ensure compliance with quality standards and relevant regulations, as stipulated by various state and central authorities, including GST, APMC tax, and other applicable duties.
The full details of the modifications are available in the NCDEX circular, which includes further clarifications and a list of applicable annexures outlining the updated contract terms.
