Mentha Oil Prices Remain Steady in Spot and Futures Markets

New Delhi, October 28 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices exhibited stability on Monday, remaining nearly flat in both the physical and futures markets. In Chandausi, prices held steady at Rs 990-92 per kg, while in Barabanki, mentha oil was quoted at Rs 943 per kg.

On the futures front, the November contract for mentha oil experienced a slight decline of Rs 1.9, settling at Rs 930 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The contract recorded an open interest of 525 and a trading volume of 72. Conversely, the December futures contract edged up by Rs 0.2 to reach Rs 943 per kg, with an open interest of 164 and a volume of 9.

The lack of significant movement in mentha oil prices suggests a balanced supply-demand dynamic in the market, with participants closely monitoring upcoming trends. As traders look ahead, any shifts in production levels or market demand could influence future price movements.

Mentha Oil contract for NOV delivery settled at Rs 930/quintal showing an fall of Rs -1.9 over previous close of Rs 931.9/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 929.1-936.6 for the day. Open interest increased by 397 MT to 525 MT, while trading volume increased by 23 to 72 MT.

Mentha Oil contract for DEC delivery settled at Rs 943/quintal showing an rise of Rs 0.2 over previous close of Rs 942.8/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 943-945 for the day. Open interest decreased by -348 MT to 164 MT, while trading volume decreased by -146 to 9 MT.

Mentha Oil contract for JAN delivery settled at Rs 975/quintal showing an was simillar of Rs 0 over previous close of Rs 975/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 975-975 for the day. Open interest decreased by -162 MT to 0 MT, while trading volume decreased by -32 to 0 MT.

Currently The spread between NOV and DEC contract is -13 Rs/quintal

Currently The spread between DEC and JAN contract is -32 Rs/quintal.

Currently The spread between NOV and JAN contract is -45 Rs/quintal.
