New Delhi, October 28 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices exhibited stability on Monday, remaining nearly flat in both the physical and futures markets. In Chandausi, prices held steady at Rs 990-92 per kg, while in Barabanki, mentha oil was quoted at Rs 943 per kg.
On the futures front, the November contract for mentha oil experienced a slight decline of Rs 1.9, settling at Rs 930 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The contract recorded an open interest of 525 and a trading volume of 72. Conversely, the December futures contract edged up by Rs 0.2 to reach Rs 943 per kg, with an open interest of 164 and a volume of 9.
The lack of significant movement in mentha oil prices suggests a balanced supply-demand dynamic in the market, with participants closely monitoring upcoming trends. As traders look ahead, any shifts in production levels or market demand could influence future price movements.
