Mumbai, 05 Nov (Commoditiescontrol): Brazil's soybean exports from January to October 2024 have reached a record-breaking 93.6 million metric tons (MMT), as shown by recent data. This marks an increase from the previous high of 92.9 MMT in 2023 and showcases a steady growth trajectory in Brazil's soybean export volumes over recent years, despite some fluctuations.
Since 2017, Brazil's soybean exports have generally trended upward, barring minor declines in 2019 and 2022, with exports reaching 64.1 MMT and 74.4 MMT, respectively, in those years. Notably, the country achieved a strong export rebound in 2020 with 81.4 MMT and maintained high levels through 2021.
The 2024 surge reflects Brazil's robust production and competitive position in the global market, driven by increasing demand from major importing countries, especially China.
