Ahmedabad, November 9 (CommoditiesControl): Cumin prices in Gujarat's spot markets have held steady for two days, though export prices have increased by Rs 75 per 20 kg during this period, with an additional Rs 50 hike today.

Traders indicate that slow-paced export activity has resumed, with potential for further market improvement if China’s demand continues. Due to Ramadan falling in February, an uptick in export demand is anticipated by late November or December. Cumin sowing updates remain minimal as farmers await cooler winter conditions before planting.

In key mandis:
- Unjha Mandi received around 9,000 bags. Prices ranged from Rs 4150-4300 per 20 kg for rough cumin, Rs 4450-4600 for the best quality, and Rs 4600-4850 for Bombay bold.
- Gondal Mandi reported prices between Rs 4751-4921 per 20 kg with an arrival of 2,721 bags.
- Rajkot Mandi saw the arrival of about 2,200 bags, with prices at Rs 4350-4815 per 20 kg.
