Ahmedabad, November 11 (CommoditiesControl): The coriander market in Gujarat has experienced a slowdown due to the ongoing off-season, resulting in minimal activity and stable prices. The lack of significant demand both domestically and in exports has led to reduced arrivals and transactions across the state’s markets.
Today, approximately 9,200 bags of coriander, each bag weighing 40kg, were reported in the state. The average coriander price ranged from ₹1,350 to ₹1,530 per 20 kg, reflecting stability in the market due to limited trading volume and muted market dynamics.
In the Gondal market, an arrival of 4,000 bags saw trades conducted between ₹1,401 and ₹1,601 per 20 kg. Similarly, the Rajkot Mandi received 1,200 bags, with prices recorded between ₹1,300 and ₹1,555 per 20 kg. Other market arrivals included 2,100 bags in Junagadh Mandi, 200 bags in Jetpur Mandi, and 900 bags in Jamjodhpur Mandi, alongside smaller quantities in other locations.
Market experts note that future price movements will largely depend on the upcoming coriander sowing data, with growers and traders anticipating clearer trends once the new season arrives.
