Ahmedabad, November 14 (Commodities Control): Gujarat's coriander market experienced a price increase today, with spot market prices rising by ₹25-30 per 20 kg. According to traders, the upcoming Ramadan season in February has fueled optimism for export demand, contributing to the bullish trend. The future price trend will largely depend on the coriander arrivals in the coming days.
Today, approximately 8,650 bags (1 bag = 40 kg) of coriander arrived in Gujarat. The average price in the state ranged between ₹1,350 and ₹1,550 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, 4,140 bags were traded at prices between ₹1,401 and ₹1,551 per 20 kg, with an arrival of 4,500 bags. In Rajkot Mandi, coriander was traded at ₹1,325-1,480 per 20 kg with an arrival of 1,500 bags. Other key markets saw arrivals as follows: 1,000 bags in Junagadh, 600 bags in Jetpur, 350 bags in Jamjodhpur, and around 700 bags in other locations.

Dhaniya contract for NOV delivery settled at Rs 7308/quintal showing an rise of Rs 4 over previous close of Rs 7304/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7270-7686 for the day. Open interest decreased by -2255 MT to 1230 MT, while trading volume decreased by -12865 to 5160 MT.
Dhaniya contract for DEC delivery settled at Rs 7400/quintal showing an fall of Rs -60 over previous close of Rs 7460/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7390-7758 for the day. Open interest decreased by -165 MT to 21300 MT, while trading volume decreased by -9530 to 11920 MT.
Currently The spread between NOV and DEC contract is -92 Rs/quintal
