Mumbai, December 02 (CommoditiesControl): Mentha oil prices remained stable in the spot market today, with minimal fluctuation in values. The current spot price of mentha oil is hovering around Rs 1,200-1,250 per kg, with demand and supply remaining balanced.
Traders report a steady flow of mentha oil arrivals, but the market has shown limited price movement due to consistent demand from the domestic sector. The prices are expected to stay steady in the coming days, with the market relying on export demand and weather conditions for any significant price changes.
On the NCDEX, mentha oil futures also saw little variation, indicating stable market sentiment at present.
Mentha Oil contract for DEC delivery settled at Rs 928.8/quintal showing an rise of Rs 9.6 over previous close of Rs 919.2/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 919.4-929.3 for the day. Open interest increased by 4 MT to 529 MT, while trading volume increased by 13 to 80 MT.
Mentha Oil contract for JAN delivery settled at Rs 938/quintal showing an rise of Rs 8.3 over previous close of Rs 929.7/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 936.8-938.9 for the day. Open interest increased by 2 MT to 128 MT, while trading volume increased by 4 to 7 MT.
