New Delhi, December 5 (Commodities Control): Cotton arrivals in mandis across India totaled 1,92,500 bales on Thursday, marking a slight decrease from 1,95,900 bales recorded on the previous working day.
State-Wise Breakdown of Arrivals
- Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan (Upper and Lower): 18,500 bales.
- Gujarat: 30,000 bales.
- Maharashtra: 35,000 bales.
- Madhya Pradesh: 20,000 bales.
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: 68,000 bales.
- Tamil Nadu: No arrivals reported.
- Karnataka: 20,000 bales.
- Odisha: 1,000 bales.
The slight dip in arrivals indicates a balanced supply trend across the major cotton-producing regions. Despite the reduction, arrivals remain steady in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh, which account for a significant share of the total.
