New Delhi, December 5 (CommoditiesControl): Chilly prices in Guntur's major markets exhibited a mixed trend today, with price increases observed for some varieties and declines for others. Prices for Teja, 341, and Syngenta rose by ₹2-5 per kg, while Armour and 2043 saw a decline of ₹3-5 per kg. In contrast, prices in Khammam and Warangal remained largely stable, except for 341 in Warangal, which experienced some fluctuations.
The total arrivals across key markets were reported at 91,000 bags, up by 3,000 from the previous session. In Guntur, arrivals increased to 75,000 bags, up by 5,000 bags, while arrivals in Warangal and Khammam were recorded at 8,000 bags each, a reduction of 2,000 bags.
Despite the dry weather sustaining arrivals, they have remained below 1.0 lakh bags for the fourth consecutive session. Market participants expect arrivals to pick up at the beginning of next month as harvesting resumes. While prices have shown a slight recovery due to recent weather conditions, they are likely to remain under pressure in the coming sessions.
