New Delhi, January 11 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices in Karnataka’s mandis remained stable on Saturday due to limited demand from spinning mills, while daily arrivals of Kapas in the state decreased.

Traders reported that cotton prices have remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive day, as spinning mills are only purchasing cotton based on immediate needs. Despite an estimated increase in cotton production for the current season, the decline in global cotton prices has led domestic mills to scale back on purchases. After dealing with limited margins over the past two seasons, mills are avoiding stockpiling. In addition to Kapas, cottonseed prices also remained stable in the state.

On Saturday, the arrival of Kapas in Karnataka's mandis was recorded at 12,000 bales (1 bale = 170 kg), a decrease from the 14,000 bales that arrived on the previous trading day.
